Building trust and respect between you and your puppy — in Salem and the surrounding areas.
I am a professional dog trainer based in Keizer, Oregon, serving Salem and the surrounding communities since 2021. I took a brief step back to focus on starting a family. Now, as a mom of two young kids, I am back to serving you and your puppy. My approach is still built on one simple belief: when there's genuine trust and respect between a dog and their person, everything changes.
I used to offer multiple programs for all ages, but my heart is with the puppies; now, I'm the only trainer in the area focusing 100% of my time strictly on early development.
Whether you have a new puppy who won't stop biting, or trying to navigate essential basic obedience and manners, I meet you and your puppy exactly where you are to build a reliable foundation.
My experience covers a wide range of breeds. So no matter what puppy you bring home, I'm here to help you confidently develop the basic obedience, focus, and trust needed for a well-behaved dog.
Let's Work TogetherA focused, intensive two-week program designed to give your puppy the best possible start in life.
Your puppy comes to stay in my home as part of our family for two weeks of immersive, structured training. The first few months of a puppy's life are a critical window — and this program helps you make the most of them.
During their stay, we focus on building a solid foundation of basic obedience and reliable house manners. Your puppy will learn essential cues like sit, down, bed, heel, and come, while developing clear boundaries and proper thresholds. At pickup, you get a full handoff session so you know exactly how to keep the momentum going.
"Ivy was absolutely wonderful with our 2 and 3 year old dogs who were hindering our home life by being 'too happy' when guests came over. It was very embarrassing that we couldn't control our dogs around other people — Ivy fixed that completely."
"Ivy has done more in 2 sessions than the trainer I started with and got rid of after 6 sessions. Highly recommend her."
"Ivy was always very helpful with training and you can tell she loves what she does. My 4 month Staffordshire has always been relatively well mannered so we sharpened those already good skills and taught her some tricks just for funzies."
